Evangelical Law Conference and Seminar

Evangelical Law: Hearing Moses - Finding Jesus

We're delighted to announce that Peter Leithart will be speaking at two events at Emmanuel on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 April, and will also be present at a dinner on the Monday evening. Both days will address the Law of Moses - the subject of Peter's forthcoming book The Ten Commandments: A guide to the perfect law of love.

Both events are suitable for church leaders, theological students, and anyone else keen to reflect deeply on the Scriptures. The two events will complement each other, with the seminar on Tuesday building upon the previous day's conference with an opportunity to explore the issues further in a small group setting.

See below for further information and booking details for all these events. We're expecting a high demand, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Peter will also be speaking at other events in Lancashire on 26 and 27 April. Check back soon or sign up for updates, as further information will be available in due course.

Revd Dr Peter Leithart

Dr Leithart is President of the Theopolis Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, a prolific author, and a speaker in great demand all over the world. His most recent publications include a two-volume commentary on Revelation, described by reviewers as "a landmark volume" (John Behr), "a theological and exegetical milestone" (Hans Boersma), and a "masterwork" that displays "a seemingly unmatched knowledge of the whole of Scripture" (Matthew Levering).

Conference (Monday 29 April)

The conference will provide a great opportunity to hear Peter talk about the Ten Commandments - the centrepiece of the Law of Moses and a crucial element of God's self-disclosure in Scripture. As ever, Peter will have much to say about the place of the Ten Commandments in Scripture as a whole, and how they speak of the person and work of Christ.

Tickets £20. See below for booking details and discounts on multiple bookings.

The conference will take place at the Welsh Chapel, Freston Gardens, Cockfosters, EN4 9LY. (Click for directions.) Plenty of on-street car parking is available. The nearest tube station is Cockfosters (Piccadilly Line), about 7 minutes away on foot.
